Syria marks the 51st anniversary of crushing victory over Israeli enemy in October Liberation War

Damascus, SANA- Syria marks today, October 6, the 51st anniversary of the October Liberation War, which represented a momentous event not only in Syrian history but also in modern Arab history with its meanings, dimensions and repercussions on the Arab-Israeli conflict.

A united Arab decision was taken in this war to liberate the occupied Arab territories; and after the victory in this war, the Arabs regained confidence in themselves and in their ability to destroy the Zionist project.

It also demonstrated that solidarity and unity allow the Arabs to regain their prominent position on the regional and international arenas as a nation that influences international decision-making.

The October victory contributed to the creation of a culture of resistance in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. This resistance was consolidated and became a decisive actor in changing the balance of power.

After 51 years, Syria continues to resist and rejects any kind of surrender agreements and refuses to give up its rights, and has been able to stop all attempts by the US and the West to seize its sovereign and independent decision.

Today, Syria faces a terrorist war where the dirtiest methods of media disinformation, political pressure and economic terrorism has been used.

The hysterical campaign by the US and Western countries and their tools in the region, threatens Syria’s essential role in the region and its national and civic model.

The West is now using new tools and methods to implement its plans, such as supporting terrorist groups that commit crimes of genocide against civilians and military personnel, sabotage institutions and property, and murder intellectuals and scientists.

The anniversary comes as the Syrian Arab Army is further determined to perform the sublime duty of defending the homeland and eradicating terrorism to foil conspiracies hatched against Syria by the west and its dirty tools.
