Tourism Minister: Bloudan Festival will be the first of many tourist festivals in Syria

Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Tourism is preparing for holding the Bloudan Tourist Festival 2017 on July 27th in cooperation with Damascus Countryside Governorate.

The Festival is part of the Ministry’s plan to help tourist destinations in the country to return to their normal work after security was restored to them.

In a statement to SANA’s reporter, Minister of Tourism Bishir Yazaji said that the return of the Bloudan Festival has a special significance after a long hiatus during the years of the war against Syria, due to the importance of Bloudan city for the people of Damascus locals.

Minister Yazaji considered that Bloudan Festival 2017, which will last till June 29th, will be the starting point for holding several similar festivals in other areas in the future.

He added that the Festival will include artistic, cultural, and sports activities, in addition to contests, traditional handicrafts, and concerts.
