Geneva, SANA- The office of the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said that the 6th round of intra-Syrian talks will reconvene in Geneva on May 16 .
“Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura will reconvene the intra-Syrian talks under the auspices of the United Nations in Geneva on 16 May 2017. In this round, he is looking forward to intensified work with invitees on the items on agenda of the talks, within the context of outcomes of Geneva 4, ” de Mistura’s office said in a statement released Monday.
The statement added that the UN Special Envoy reiterates his hope that the agreement reached in Astana on May 4th will be implemented in full.
