Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain around average as the country is influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear and partly cloudy in general with a chance of local rain showers over the coastal heights, while the weather will be misty and hot in the eastern, al-Jazira and al-Badiya (desert) areas.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low to medium in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 35/22, Daraa 33/21, Homs 30/20, Lattakia 30/25, Aleppo 34/24 and Deir Ezzor 40/25.
