Arabic Music Festival opens at Damascus Opera House

Damascus, SANA The audience of Damascus Opera House warmly applauded as the Syrian Singer Mayada Bselies sang at the National Opera House Sunday evening marking the start of Arabic Music Festival activities.

Accompanied by the Syrian National Orchestra for Arabic Music led by Conductor Adnan Fathallah, Bselis performed a wide combination of her songs.

The evening, attended by Culture Minister Issam Khalil, was commenced by a noticeable prelude composed by musician Samir Quifati.

The music event was held in cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the General Commission of Damascus Opera House within the framework of the Arabic Music Festival.

A number of Syrian Singers is scheduled to participate in the Festival which will last to 27th of current August.
