Al-Qadri at WFTU: Boosting bonds of friendship and cooperation to serve workers’ issues

Rome, SANA- Secretary-General of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions, chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Syria, Jamal Al-Qadri, stressed that the world is witnessing today a conspiracy against all peoples, that did not surrender to the imperialist aggressive will, which targets states on the path of development.

In a speech at the opening of the 18th conference of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) held Saturday in the Italian capital, Rome, al-Qadri said that the world is living today under exceptional and unprecedented circumstances as the imperialism targets the forces of freedom and progress in this world with all available brutal means.
“Amidst what we are experiencing and what we are witnessing, we extend our hands to devote and consolidate the bonds of friendship and cooperation in everything that serves issues of the working class in our Arab region and the world, and in everything that lessen all that feverish attitudes in international relations in the world today” , al-Qadri went on to say.

He thanked the World Trade Union Confederation for condemning the terrorism that struck Syria and most of the Arab countries and is still benefiting from states that have become a burden on the international law itself.
