Palmyra, SANA- A tourist group, including a number of persons from various nationalities, visited on Saturday Palmyra city to inspect the most prominent archaeological landmarks and document the destruction that affected the historical sites and tourist facilities in the attacks of Deash terrorist organization before expelling them, thanks to the Syrian Arab army.
A Canadian tourist told SANA that he denounces the terrorists’ destruction of archaeological and cultural sites that constitute a legacy of world civilization.
He hailed the return of security to the city while he was touring in it .
Another Australian tourist said “I came to Syria and my main destination was to visit the historical city of Palmyra and I was pleased to see the ancient places, this visit will remain in my memory”.
