Damascus, SANA – The Budget and Accounts’ Committee at the People’s Assembly discussed on Sunday the investment budget of Information Ministry and the sides affiliated to it.
The Committee’s members appreciated to role of national media in the face of terrorism and misleading campaigns, calling for developing tools of media to deal with developments of the current stage.
Minister of Information, Imad Sarah, said that media law was referred from Justice Ministry a few days ago, and it will be presented to People’s Assembly soon.
Sarah noted that the issuance of newspapers is related to coronavirus particularly regional and global health data indicate the return of a new wave of the virus, and it’s necessary to postpone its re-issuance because it is a bearer for the virus.
