Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus “covid-19” has claimed the lives of more than a million and 85 thousand persons around the world since its appearance last December according statistics by the American Worldometer website.
The website which is run by international developers and operators mentioned that the total number of coronavirus infections around the world has reached up to 38,053,748 whereas the death toll amounted to 1,085,558 and the number of recoveries reached 28,610,485.
In India, Health Ministry announced that 55,342 new cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours bringing the total number of the registered cases to 7,18 million.
Meanwhile, in Germany, data from Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed an increase in the number of the detected cases by 4,122 to reach 329,453 while the number of deaths raised by 13 to reach 9,634.
In the Czech Republic, Head of the Central Crisis Management Cell, Interior Minister Jan Hamacek described the situation with regard to the spread of the coronavirus as tragic.
So far, the number of the coronavirus infections in the Czech Republic has reached 61,522, while the number of deaths has exceeded the 1,000 for the first time ever.
