Raqqa, April 21 (SANA) Located in the eastern Raqqa countryside, north of al-Karama town and about 30 km east of Raqqa city, the al-Manakhir hills are extinct volcanic formations dating back to the Quaternary period.
The area is composed mainly of basalt formed by ancient volcanic activity and could be developed as a tourist destination with greater attention and investment.
