Raqqa, Mar 17 (SANA) The Higher Committee for the People’s Assembly Elections announced Tuesday the results for the Raqqa and Tabqa constituencies after voting and counting were completed.
The winners included Ahmad Mahmoud al-Khalaf Shlash, Miqdam Ali al-Jash’am, Ahmad Mahmoud Hassan al-Omar and Abdullah Majid al-Haj Abd.
The committee said the appeals process will remain open for one day, in line with electoral regulations.
Earlier in the day, voting began in Raqqa and Tabqa, where members of electoral bodies cast ballots to elect representatives to the People’s Assembly.
Officials said the electoral process was conducted under the committee’s supervision and that turnout was high in some constituencies.
