Emergency Minister: Firefighting teams extinguish two major wildfires in Hama countryside

Emergency Minister: Firefighting teams extinguish two major wildfires in Hama countryside

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Al-Saleh said that fire brigades in the Syrian Civil Defense and fire brigades, during the past hours , extinguished two wildfires  in the Hama countryside, which caused damage to large areas of forests and agricultural lands, and caused significant damage to homes and property.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Al-Saleh indicated that the first fire broke out in Nabaa al-Tayeb area in the Hama countryside, and that the second one broke out in Mount Taqsis near the Scientific Research , and caused the destruction of about 20 dunums of cypress trees, and it was completely controlled during the early hours of this morning.

Firefighting teams from all the provinces, with the participation of Turkish and Jordanian firefighting teams, are continuing their intensive efforts for the ninth consecutive day to combat the forest fires raging in the Latakia countryside, preventing their spread and protecting the environment.
