Canberra, March 4 (SANA) Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Wednesday that Iran’s attacks on civilian areas in the Middle East were “unjustifiable” and called on Tehran to halt them immediately following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.
Reuters reported that Albanese said his country “calls on Iran to immediately cease these indiscriminate attacks,” adding that targeting civilian areas is unjustifiable.
The region has witnessed a series of U.S. and Israeli strikes on sites inside Iran since Saturday. Tehran has also intensified attacks on several Arab countries, targeting infrastructure, civilian and diplomatic buildings, and energy facilities, raising fears of a wider conflict.
