Aleppo, SANA- the Governor of Aleppo, Engineer Azam al-Gharib, discussed on Wednesday with a delegation from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), headed by Mervat Abu Rashid, Acting Director of the North Syria Area, the situation of Palestinian refugees in Aleppo province and ways to address the service, security, and organizational challenges facing refugee camps and UNRWA offices.
The governor affirmed during the meeting the depth of relations between the Syrian and Palestinian peoples, stressing the importance of integrating Palestinian refugees into sustainable development plans to support reconstruction and development efforts
In turn, Abu Rashid affirmed UNRWA’s commitment to continue providing basic services to Palestinian refugees, expressing hope for finding joint solutions to the existing challenges.
