Damascus, Sept. 16 (SANA) Forty-two Saudi companies are participating in the International Exhibition for Reconstruction of Syria “Rebuild 2026” in Damascus, presenting their expertise and products in construction, equipment and infrastructure sectors.
The participation focuses on identifying Syrian market needs and exploring cooperation opportunities with Syrian companies.
Saudi companies are displaying a range of products and solutions, including glass products, energy-saving technologies, packaging systems, and security and protection systems, while examining requirements related to reconstruction projects and future investment opportunities.
Energy-saving solutions
Speaking to SANA on Tuesday, Shadi al-Samman, representative of al-Jadaani Glass Factory, said the company’s participation aims to support the reconstruction phase and introduce modern expertise and technologies to the Syrian market, particularly in the glass industry.
Al-Samman said the expanded use of glass in major projects, due to its thermal insulation properties, could contribute to reducing energy consumption. He added that Saudi companies seek to provide modern solutions and technologies while reducing the time needed to access specialized expertise.
Assessing Syrian market needs
Yasser al-Zamel, representative of Gulf Packaging Systems Company, said the exhibition provided an opportunity for direct communication with traders, reconstruction companies and real estate developers.
He said the company conducted a tour of Syrian markets over the past two days, meeting traders and examining the types of products currently used and their suitability to market needs.
Mudar al-Adwani of Saudi industrial group BRC, which specializes in fencing and security and protection systems, said the group’s participation aims to share expertise in project implementation and explore investment and cooperation opportunities in the Syrian market.
He added that the exhibition provides direct access to companies and entities interested in the reconstruction sector.
Saudi participation comes as part of the international and Arab presence at “Rebuild 2026,” which provides foreign companies with a platform to assess Syrian market needs and connect with investors and the private sector.
The exhibition also allows specialized companies to showcase solutions and technologies related to construction projects, rehabilitation and infrastructure development.
“Rebuild 2026” concludes its activities on Wednesday, with the participation of 356 companies from 27 countries. The exhibition brings together companies specializing in construction, building, equipment and infrastructure, alongside government and economic entities, providing a platform to display products, expertise and cooperation opportunities.
