Supreme Judicial Council appoints a new judge as Dean of High Judicial Institute

Damascus, SANA-The Supreme Judicial Council has issued a decision appointing Judge Ibrahim Khalil al-Hassoun as the full-time Dean of the High Judicial Institute.

According to the Council’s decision, a copy of which was received by SANA Tuesday , this appointment is made pursuant to the provisions of the Judicial Authority Law issued by Legislative Decree No. 98 dated 15/11/1961 and its amendments, as well as the Basic Employees Law No. 135 dated 23/06/2025.

Judge al-Hassoun, born in Raqqa in 1982, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University in Medina, a Master’s in Jurisprudence and Law from the College of Islamic Call, a Master’s in Judiciary and Sharia Policy from Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia, and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey.
