Damascus, SANA- A funeral ceremony was held Tuesday at the Holy Cross Church in Damascus for nine victims of the terrorist bombing that targeted Mar Elias Church in Al- Douweila neighborhood yesterday.
The ceremony was presided over by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, John X Yazigi.
The funeral prayer held for the souls of the victims was attended by a number of their Beatitudes and Eminences from the Christian community in Syria, as well as crowds of citizens.
After the prayer, the nine bodies were transported to the cemetery where they were buried, while the bodies of other victims of the terrorist bombing were buried in their hometowns and villages.
A terrorist bombing occurred Sunday at Mar Elias Church in Al- Douweila neighborhood of Damascus, killing 25 civilians and wounding 63.
