Kuwait City, March 6 (SANA) Kuwaiti forces have intercepted 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones since the start of Iranian attacks on the country and other regional states following the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran on Feb. 28, the Ministry of Defense said Friday.
Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, the ministry spokesperson, said the armed forces successfully neutralized the missiles and drones as part of ongoing operations.
He added that the strikes constituted a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and international law as they targeted civilian infrastructure, vital installations, and residential areas. The attacks killed two military personnel and a child, and caused injuries and property damage.
Al-Atwan said authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely and coordinate defensive measures to protect civilians and critical infrastructure amid heightened regional tensions.
