Damascus, SANA-The Supreme Committee for People’s Assembly Elections has estimated a projected timeframe of two to three months to complete its assigned tasks.
During a meeting held On Wednesday at the People’s Assembly, the committee discussed the criteria and qualifications required for members of the subcommittees across the governorates and for members of the electoral bodies. It also established a work schedule outlining the stages of the committee’s activities from the duties mandated by its founding decree to the completion of the electoral process in accordance with legal and constitutional standards.
The meeting also set a schedule for field visits to a number of governorates, with the aim of discussing the electoral process with official bodies and civil society organizations, and completing preparations for the electoral process efficiently and transparently.
