Resuming rehabilitation of al-Rastan Dam in Hama

Hama, SANA- Hama Water Resources Directorate resumed rehabilitation and maintenance work on al-Rastan Dam following damage caused by the bombing of the former regime.

Director of Water Resources in Hama, Mustafa Samaq told SANA reporter that bombardment by the former regime resulted in a large hole in the surface of the dam, measuring 20 square meters, and damage to the protective wall.

The Directorate said that the estimated cost of the maintenance work is 200 million Syrian pounds, and the Swiss Church Aid HEKS/EPER is supporting the rehabilitation and maintenance work.
