London, March 5 (SANA) Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the English Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brighton in their 29th-round match Thursday.
Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the match in the 9th minute, securing a valuable win for Arsenal and strengthening their position at the top of the table.
The result lifted Arsenal to 67 points, while Brighton remained on 37 points in 12th place.
In another match, Manchester City were held to a 2-2 draw by visiting Nottingham Forest.
Morgan Gibbs-White scored for Forest in the 56th minute, before Rodri put City ahead in the 62nd minute, while Elliot Anderson added another in the 76th minute.
With the draw, Manchester City moved to 60 points in second place, while Nottingham Forest sit on 28 points in 17th place.
