Ministry of Endowments affirms commitment to civil peace and moderate religious discourse

Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) has affirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting civil peace and national unity by establishing a moderate religious discourse that fosters values of tolerance and coexistence among all citizens.

In a statement on Tuesday, responding to circulating remarks attributed to the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Mohammad Abu al-Khair Shukri, the ministry urged media outlets and social media users to obtain information related to the ministry or the minister only from official sources. It cautioned against following rumors or unverified statements that could be taken out of context or distorted.

The ministry reiterated its absolute rejection of any attempts to incite discord or sectarian strife, emphasizing that its discourse and positions are based on religious and national responsibility, aiming to unify voices and bring people together.
