Syria, Germany discuss cooperation in educational domain

Damascus, SANA-Education Minister Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman Turko discussed Wednesday with Director General of the Middle East at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Ms. Christine Toetzke, and the accompanying delegation, ways and prospects for joint cooperation in the education sector between the two countries.

During the meeting, Minister Turko stressed the importance of benefiting from the German experience in vocational education.
Syria, Germany discuss cooperation in educational domain

The minister thanked the German side for its continued support for the Syrian people and its positive role in lifting economic sanctions on Syria, given its importance in the reconstruction phase.

For her part, Toetzke affirmed the German government’s readiness and commitment to assisting Syria, its determination to address the basic needs of the education sector, and the importance of coordinating efforts to improve the educational situation in Syria to reach the stage of recovery.
