Damascus, SANA- During a meeting on Tuesday with Khalifa Abdullah Al Mahmoud Al Sharif, Chargé d’Affaires of the Qatari Embassy in Syria, Minister of Justice Dr. Mazhar al-Wais underscored the significance of enhancing legal cooperation between the two countries.
Held at the ministry’s headquarters, the meeting provided an opportunity for Minister al-Wais to express his gratitude for Qatar’s active role in supporting various Syrian affairs, including legal matters.
For his part, the Qatari chargé d’affaires affirmed his country’s readiness to provide all necessary assistance and services, with a particular focus on developing judicial capacities and improving the infrastructure of Syria’s judicial sector.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of reinforcing judicial independence and ensuring swift justice for citizens. Both sides agreed to organize workshops and exchange legal expertise to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within Syria’s judicial system.
