Damascus, SANA- Minister of Local Administration and Environment Eng. Mohammad Anjarani, discussed Sunday with Tanja Lohmann, Head of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)in Syria, cooperation in facilitating the return of displaced persons based on the expertise and programs provided by the agency.
Minister Anjarani said that the priority of the Ministry is to put up a comprehensive and integrated database for needs of the refugees, both internally and externally, and prepare the infrastructure and essential services, such as healthcare centers.
He stressed the need for cooperation and make use of the German government and GIZ’s technical expertise in the field of real estate ownership, to help develop local councils and real estate agencies.
The German official pointed out that the purpose of the meeting was to know about the construction plans and preparations that the ministry would undertake in order to ensure the return of the displaced. as well as, to explore the needs that the Agency could provide them through partnership between Germany and Syria.
