Lifting sanctions on Syria, significant step to push the country forward -U.S. Republic

Cairo, SANA- The U.S. Republican Party member, Robert Arlett, said that lifting sanctions imposed on Syria is considered an important step to push the country forward and help the Syrians to overcome the difficult phase they have lived over the past decades.

“U.S. President, Donald Trump, was clear in his strategy, as he works to lift a number of sanctions on Syria and alleviate obstacles hindering the economy.” Cairo News Channel quoted Arlett as saying in a statement Sunday.

Arlett added that these measures come as part of a comprehensive vision to achieve peace through direct collaboration with national leaders, rather than waiting for mandate from external parties.

He went on saying “President Trump’s visit to the Middle East two weeks ago was of a highly significance, contributing to the establishment of new relations with regional leaders, paving the way for more stable relations and more economic opportunities”.

He underscored that the President Trump focuses on sustainable peace, free from any regional interference.

The Republican stressed that strengthening relations with the Middle East is part of a long-term strategic plan aimed at achieving prosperity, not just for Syria but also for the region as a whole.
