US State Department: We are working intensively to implement the decision to lift sanct

Washington, SANA- The US State Department confirmed that Washington is working intensively to implement the decision to lift sanctions on Syria as soon as possible.

The US State Department clarified “Lifting sanctions on a country takes a certain amount of time, even when instructions come from the president,” and that the U.S. Department of State and Treasury are working intensively in this regard.

Tammy Bruce, US State Department spokeswoman said in a press release reported by Anadolu Agency that President Donald Trump has taken a clear position on lifting sanctions on Syria and that the time has come for that. She indicated that a team had begun working on the issue and that the matter will be completed quickly.
