Tartous, SANA – Tartous Security Directorate arrested on Tuesday criminal Colonel, Salem Iskandar Tarraf, after a careful monitoring and follow-up operation.
Interior Ministry clarified via its Telegram channel that the criminal Tarraf occupied several positions, most notably commanding the 123rd Brigade of the Republican Guard in Aleppo. Prior to that, he commanded the Republican Guard in Deir Ezzor, and was involved in a number of violations and crimes, alongside the criminal Issam Zahreddine.
The ministry noted that he worked to recruit and manage a group affiliated with remnants of the former regime, whose involvement in the attack that occurred last March was proven.
The Ministry stated that the criminal, Tarraf, was referred to the Public Prosecution, in preparation for referring him to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal action against him.
