Damascus, SANA- Syrian Arab Red Crescent participated today in a solidarity vigil organized by the Palestinian Red Crescent in front of Yaffa Hospital in Damascus, condemning the Israeli attacks on medical personnel in Gaza Strip.
Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Syria, Dr. Atef Ibrahim, told SANA reporter that this vigil is part of a series of vigils organized by the Red Crescent across its branches in the region, in solidarity with medical personnel in Gaza, which has been subjected to Israeli attacks, including the deliberate killing of eight Palestinian Red Crescent personnel and a number of civil defense personnel while performing their humanitarian duty.
Jamal Saeed Hammad, head of public relations and media at the Palestinian Red Crescent, explained that the Israeli occupation forces directly killed and executed eight volunteers and paramedics, and then buried them in an attempt to cover up its crime. He pointed out that the Palestinian Red Crescent in Ramallah, and its branches in Arab countries, took the initiative to condemn this crime and demand the prosecution of its perpetrators.
