Egyptian Foreign Minister: We reject Israeli violations and encroachment on Syrian terr

Cairo, SANA- Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated his country’s rejection of Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

In a joint press conference held Tuesday with his Lebanese counterpart Youssef Raji, the Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt’s stance against Israel’s breach of the agreement and its encroachment on Syrian territory.

He stressed that Egypt is actively engaged in intensive communications with regional and international parties to put an end to all forms of violations against the sovereignty of Arab states.

As reported by the Egyptian news channel Al-Ikhbariya, Abdelatty stated, “Arrogance of power cannot bring security and peace to the region,” emphasizing the need to abandon double standards in policy.

In another context, the Egyptian Foreign Minister pointed out ongoing Egyptian-UN coordination to hold the Cairo Conference on the Gaza Reconstruction Plan.
