The visit included Hisham Bseila and Shafik Abisi schools in the city center, which had been subjected to attacks by the former regime just one day before liberation, in addition to other schools in several towns and cities such as Souran, Morek, Kafr Zita, Latamina, Tal Melh, al-Jalama, and Kafr Nabudah.

Youssef Anan, Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education told SANA that the aim of the tour is to inspect the condition of the destroyed schools in order to assess their structural status and infrastructure, and to identify the needs for their rehabilitation and for the return of students.

Anan noted that this visit came as a result of successive meetings held recently by the Ministry with a number of international organizations with the aim of supporting the education sector in areas affected by the crimes of the former regime to contribute positively to accelerating the return of the locals to their villages and towns.
