Damascus, SANA- During a press conference, held in Damascus on Tuesday, with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Asaad al-Shaybani stressed that the new Syrian State welcomes all Arab and foreign delegations, and begins to establish new relations after turning a long old page of estrangement that was on the days of the former regime.
Al- Shaybani stressed that there will be strategic partnerships between Syria and Ukraine on the political, economic and social levels, in addition to scientific partnerships.
In turn, Ukrainian Foreign Minister hailed the talks with Commander Ahmed al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister al-Shaybani, saying “we congratulate the success of the revolution in Syria, as these are historic moments and great hope for Syria’s revival after many years”, wishing the Syrian people safety and prosperity, adding” I convey the President of Ukraine message in supporting Syria.
Minister Sybiha indicated that Ukraine will fulfill the promise to help Syria through the grain initiative, noting that more than 20 trucks carrying 500 tons of flour arrive on Wednesday.
He announced that from now on we can continue to educate the Syrian students in Ukraine, as a new page of cooperation will start and that help in establishing institutions, partnerships and joint projects in many industrial, agricultural or cybersecurity fields.
