Daraa, Sept. 18 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained a young man Friday during an incursion into the Wadi al-Raqqad area near Jamla in the western Daraa countryside, local sources told SANA.
The man, from the village of al-Muallaqa in the Quneitra countryside, lives in Wadi al-Raqqad and works as a cattle herder, the sources said.
Israeli occupation forces last Sunday detained another young man from al-Asha village in the southern Quneitra countryside while he was grazing sheep west of al-Rafid, near a United Nations position.
Israeli occupation forces have continued incursions into southern Syria, including raids on civilian homes, arrests and the bulldozing of land, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that measures taken by Israel are null and void under international law. Damascus has called on the international community to press Israel for a complete withdrawal from southern Syria.
