Rome, Sep. 8 (SANA) A Syrian delegation headed by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat, with chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Italy Hussein Sabbagh, took part Tuesday in a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation among Diverse Religious Institutions and Leaders in the Arab Region, being held in Rome, Italy.
The meeting was attended by a number of Italian religious and diplomatic figures, including Ambassador Antonio de Almeida Ribeiro, Acting Secretary-General of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
In addition to Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue of the Holy See; Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, who serves as a senior archbishop of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Chairman of the KAICIID Board of Directors; and Father Laurent Basanisi, Head of Office at the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and a member of the KAICIID Board of Directors.
