Damascus, Aug. 28 (SANA) The third day of the 63rd Damascus International Fair got underway Friday at the Damascus Fairgrounds under the theme “Syria Shines Anew,” with the participation of about 1,000 entities representing 60 countries.
Friday marks the final day of the program dedicated to businesspeople, investors and official delegations, with activities focusing on building partnerships, strengthening economic meetings, signing agreements and achieving tangible economic outcomes. Starting Saturday, the fair will open to the public.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Economy and Industry held the opening ceremony for the “Made in Syria” pavilion at the fair, attended by officials and representatives of economic and trade sectors.
The Ministry of Defense also launched an activity allowing a number of fair visitors to take helicopter tours over the fairgrounds and Damascus. Starting Saturday, a competition will select 10 winners each day to participate in the flights.
The second day of the fair featured visits by a number of ministers, ambassadors and economic delegations.
The 63rd Damascus International Fair, which opened Wednesday, will run through Sept. 4, with broad international participation aimed at strengthening the fair’s economic and trade presence.
Participants include local, Arab and international companies, ministries, public institutions, chambers of commerce, business councils, local and international pavilions, as well as service, investment and handicraft entities.
