DAMASCUS, Aug. 27 (SANA) The 63rd Damascus International Fair entered its second day on Thursday at Damascus Fairgrounds, bringing together about 1,000 participants representing 60 countries under the theme “Syria Shines Again.”
Thursday’s program is dedicated to business leaders, investors and official delegations, with a focus on building partnerships, holding business meetings, signing agreements and generating tangible economic outcomes.
The 63rd edition was officially launched Wednesday at the Conferences Palace in Damascus in the presence of President Ahmad al-Sharaa and first lady, Latifa al-Droubi. The Damascus Global Economic Forum was launched alongside the fair.
The opening day included tours by ministers, ambassadors and economic delegations, as well as the signing of several agreements. Among them was an agreement between the administration of Bab al-Hawa Industrial City and Turkish company iSRA to develop and expand the industrial city.
Damascus International Fair 2026 runs through Sept. 4, with its first three days reserved for business leaders, investors and official delegations. The program includes a range of economic, cultural, social and national events.
