Manama, Aug. 27 (SANA) Bahrain welcomed the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and its affiliated military and civilian formations into Syrian state institutions, calling it an important step toward strengthening Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its official website that the move would also help consolidate the rule of law and state institutions.
The ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for Syria’s security, stability, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and for the completion of its constitutional institutions, saying this would help meet Syrians’ aspirations for security, stability, coexistence and sustainable prosperity and restore Syria’s effective role in the Arab and international arenas.
Mazloum Abdi announced Tuesday the end of the SDF’s mission and its dissolution as an independent military force after its integration into Syrian Army brigades, saying the move marked a transition toward a new phase of peace, stability and building a new Syria
