Hasakah, Aug. 12 (SANA) Internal Security Command in Hasakah province arrested several people involved in acts of unrest that threatened civil peace, damaged private property and obstructed the return of families to their homes in Ras al-Ayn area.

The command said in a statement Wednesday that, in coordination with the competent judicial authorities, all those found to have participated in the acts were detained pending referral to the judiciary in accordance with legal procedures.

It stressed that no individual or group involved in acts threatening citizens’ security, state institutions or public and private property would be tolerated, affirming that the law would be applied to anyone found responsible.

The measures followed unrest and attacks in Ras al-Ayn area in recent days as residents returned to their homes. More than 400 families have returned to Ras al-Ayn countryside after the necessary security measures were put in place.
