Damascus, Aug. 29 (SANA) Sweida Governor, Mustafa al-Bakour, said that outlaw groups are preventing students in the governorate from leaving the city to reach their examination centers, despite the students’ strong determination to take their exams.
Al-Bakour explained in a statement to Syrian al-Ikhbaria Channel that the reaction to the outlaw actions among students and their families escalated into physical clashes, during which outlaw groups destroyed citizens’ vehicles.
He noted that the students remain gathered in the city square, driven by their desire and resolve to take the exams.
Al-Bakour added that the governorate has made every possible effort to facilitate the examination process. Consequently, it was decided to postpone the time of the exams by an additional hour (to 11:00 a.m) to provide an opportunity and ensure the students’ safe arrival at their examination halls.
