Damascus, July 20 (SANA) Syria’s First Lady, Mrs. Latifa al-Droubi, toured the Syria International Textile Exhibition (NASTEX 2026) at the Damascus Fairgrounds on Monday.
During her tour, Mrs. al-Droubi explored the exhibition’s pavilions, particularly those showcasing home furnishings, fabrics, textile manufacturing machinery and industrial equipment.
She stressed the importance of reviving Syria’s textile industry, describing it as a key contributor to sustainable development and an important pillar supporting the national economy.
The first edition of (NASTEX 2026) opened on Saturday at the new Damascus Fairgrounds under the patronage of President Ahmad al-Sharaa, with official participation, international delegations and broad attendance from business leaders and representatives of the economic sector.
