Damascus, June 24 (SANA) Fourteen people were injured in traffic accidents and fire-related incidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, while Syrian Civil Defense teams responded to more than 250 fires nationwide.
According to a statement by the Civil Defense on Wednesday, emergency crews responded to 14 traffic accidents that left 13 people injured. First aid was provided at the scene before the injured were transferred to hospitals for treatment. Teams also secured the accident sites and cleared debris.



Civil Defense teams also dealt with 250 fires during the reporting period, including 28 blazes in agricultural fields and crops and 222 fires involving homes, commercial properties, grasslands, trees, waste sites and electrical installations.
The incidents resulted in the injury of one firefighter and caused material damage to property, it said.
The latest figures follow a day in which one person was killed and six others injured in 228 fire- and traffic-related incidents reported across the country.
