Damascus, June 23 (SANA) One person was killed and six others injured in traffic accidents and fire-related incidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Tuesday.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the Civil Defense said its teams responded to 16 traffic accidents that left one person dead and six injured. Emergency crews provided first aid to the injured before transferring them to hospitals and secured the accident scenes.

The Civil Defense also reported responding to 212 fires nationwide during the same period, including 12 blazes that affected agricultural land and crops. Other incidents involved homes, commercial properties, dry vegetation, trees, waste sites and electrical cables.
Firefighters extinguished the fires and carried out cooling operations. No civilian injuries were reported, and the damage was limited to material losses, according to the statement.
The latest figures follow reports issued two days ago indicating that two people were killed and 30 others injured in separate fire incidents and traffic accidents across several Syrian provinces.
