Damascus, June 21 (SANA) The Syrian Interior Ministry said on Sunday that it is closely monitoring demands by residents of villages in the western and northern countryside of Sweida province regarding their return to their homes, stressing that the issue is a priority for the ministry.
In a statement to SANA, the ministry reaffirmed its “continued support for the return of residents to their areas,” adding that Internal Security Forces are working to provide the necessary security conditions to ensure stability and protect property.
The ministry stressed that the suffering of residents “will not be exploited by any party,” saying that outlaw groups attempted recently to use the issue for narrow gains, which has contributed to prolonging the displacement of civilians.
It added that, in coordination with relevant authorities, it will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safe return of residents, safeguard their property, and strengthen security and stability across all areas of the province.
