Damascus, May 9 (SANA) Syria’s Interior Ministry, in cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Department, has arrested Jalal Abdul Hamid al-Malih, a member of the deposed regime, in the Zabadani area of the Damascus countryside.
A security source told SANA on Saturday that al-Malih was involved in the killing of defected army lieutenant Mahmoud Issa, as well as in the transfer of fighter Abdullah Mihrez, a member of the Ahrar al-Sham Movement, to depoded regime forces.
The ministry also announced on Friday the arrest of Sahl Fajr Hassan, a former brigadier in the ousted regime’s armed forces, during a “precise security operation.”
