Damascus, June 13 (SANA) Minister of Public Works and Housing Mustafa Abdul Razzaq met Saturday with a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), led by Mohammed Abdel Azim, to discuss cooperation in housing, early recovery and the rehabilitation of damaged areas.
According to the ministry, the talks focused on supporting the return of displaced people and refugees through infrastructure upgrades, improved basic services and technical assistance for urban development projects. The meeting also highlighted the importance of training national professionals and strengthening local expertise in planning, implementation and project management.
Both sides stressed the need to engage Syrian expertise in reconstruction efforts, address stalled projects and encourage greater private-sector participation in housing and urban development. They agreed to continue coordination through technical meetings to identify priority projects and advance recovery and reconstruction efforts.
