Daraa, May 21 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces entered the Wadi al-Raqad area near the village of Jamlah in western Daraa, southern Syria, early Thursday.
The incursion began from the al-Jazira military barracks, with several Israeli military vehicles moving toward the border area and carrying out maneuvers in the valley, amid heightened tension among residents.
According to a SANA reporter, no clashes or arrests were reported during the operation.
The incursion came less than a week after another Israeli force involving three tanks and two military vehicles entered the same area and conducted maneuvers near Jamlah. One of the vehicles was equipped with a heavy machine gun.
The force later took up temporary positions in the area before withdrawing.
Late Wednesday, Israeli artillery also shelled the vicinity of Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in the southern countryside of Quneitra province.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through military operations in southern Syria, including incursions, shelling, raids and land bulldozing activities.
Syria has condemned the Israeli violations, called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, and urged the international community to pressure Israel to withdraw fully from the area.
