Damascus,May 9 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates with ballistic missiles and drones, which resulted in civilian casualties.
In a statement issued Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed that the Iranian attacks on the UAE constitute a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty, the principles of international law, and the Charter of the United Nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed Syria’s support for the sisterly United Arab Emirates and its backing for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty.
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced earlier that three people were injured as a result of its air defense systems intercepting Iranian attacks carried out with drones and ballistic missiles.
