Damascus, April 14 (SANA) Syrian Interior Ministry units arrested two individuals in the city of Jaramana in Rural Damascus during a precise security operation targeting narcotics trafficking networks. Large quantities of drugs were seized as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to combat drug distribution and trafficking.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the operation followed surveillance and monitoring efforts that led to a coordinated raid in Jaramana, which resulted in the arrest of (M.A.) and (H.H.).

Authorities found 670 kg of hashish, 172,000 Captagon pills, 1.3 kg of crystal meth, 340 grams of cocaine, and 3,600 Tramadol tablets.
The ministry added that the necessary legal procedures have been initiated and that investigations are ongoing to identify the full network linked to the suspects before referring them and the seized materials to the competent judiciary.
The operation is part of the continuous efforts of the Internal Security Forces to protect public safety and uphold the law.
