Damascus, April 5 (SANA) Syria’s General Authority for Borders and Customs said Sunday that travelers can currently cross into Lebanon via the Jousieh border crossing in the Homs countryside.
Mazen Alloush, the authority’s director of public relations, said the crossing is available for travelers, particularly those heading to Beirut International Airport, to ensure they can continue their journeys.
In a post on Facebook, Alloush said the Jdeidet Yabous crossing in Damascus countryside remains closed from the Lebanese side until further notice.
He added that the authority is monitoring developments and will announce any updates as they become available.
On Saturday, Alloush said crossings through Jdeidet Yabous had been temporarily suspended following Israeli threats to target the Lebanese side of the crossing.
The Israeli military said it intended to target the road leading to the Masnaa crossing on the Syrian-Lebanese border, opposite Jdeidet Yabous, alleging it was being used for military purposes.
