Quneitra, Apr. 3 (SANA) Israeli Occupation Forces on Friday closed several roads in the southern countryside of Quneitra by erecting earthen barriers using bulldozers.
SANA’s correspondent reported that the closures targeted roads leading to newly established military positions in the area, including routes between al-Asbah and Kodna, al-Qahtaniyah and Rasm al-Shouli, the agricultural road linking Ruihineh and al-Adnaniyah, as well as the road between Saida al-Hanout and Wadi Tuaim.
The measures restricted the movement of residents and farmers and disrupted their daily activities in the area.
Earlier in the day, seven Israeli military vehicles carried out an incursion in the village of Saida al-Hanout and set up a temporary checkpoint west of it, where they searched passersby without reports of arrests.
Israel continues to carry out incursions in southern Syria and to violate the 1974 disengagement agreement, including through raids, arrests and land clearing.
Syria has repeatedly called for Israel’s withdrawal from its territory, saying that all measures taken in the south are null and void and illegal under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such actions and ensure a full withdrawal.
